Covid-19 Announcement

183 Parrock Street is now closed to the public until further notice due to the current crisis.

183 Parrock Street is now closed to the public until further notice due to the current crisis.

One member of staff who lives within walking distance will be acting as our hub so that the rest of us can function working from home.

(Though even that arrangement will be reviewed if further restrictions are imposed).

Note the following:

  1. Post wherever possible should be sent just by email, but
  2. Anything that needs franking will be posted from the hub, albeit with some delays between the date of preparation at home and the date sent out by regular mail.
  3. The hub for emails should normally be reception@kingprior.co.uk unless you are in direct contact with a homeworker on a current matter.
  4. Phones will be answered between 9am and 4pm daily. Outside those times it will just ring. Also bear with us that with four lines and one person to answer, the call may not be picked up at once.
  5. Identity verification. Please discuss ways of our inspecting ID and proof of address without you having to visit the office.
  6. Physical visits. These should be avoided in line with Government guidelines unless contractually necessary. If however you have anything to deliver by hand (for example documents regarding a completion where you have already exchanged contracts) please knock the door (again allowing for delays if only one person is inside). Documents can be handed in for copying while you wait outside, or in the case of ID held up to the window for inspection and noting.
  7. Signing documents. If you have no alternative but to sign important documents in our presence (again for example pending completions) a small table will be put outside our front door for witnessing from 10 until 3 for us to watch you sign before posting through the letter box.
  8. New probate cases - where collecting a Will from us is necessary. Similar to points 6 & 7, though this time we will ask all executors to sign a receipt on the table outside and post it back through the door.
  9. Contactless Wills. Please follow this link to our contact less wills service to our earlier posting if you wish to make a Will in these challenging times.
  10. Generally – if you wish or need to see one of us, phone contact may be possible on a video link such as Skype, zoom, face time of WhatsApp.

STOP PRESS

Any new requirements for emergency straightforward Wills (see step 9 above) will be invoiced at half price

(namely £100 + vat for a single Will or £150 + vat for a pair) for nurses, paramedics and front line serving police officers.
